2017 has been a little bit a of a rollercoaster for Vocabulary Ninja. Launching back in April/May time in 2017 on Twitter, within the space of less than 9 months we have grown to build an audience of nearly 10K followers! Which is great, numbers aside, it's great that vocabulary is getting such recongnition! The relative success of Vocabulary Ninja in such a short space of time is genuinely overwhelming, but it just goes to show how much the everyone out there cares about improving the opportunities for the children they teach or are parents to. So I applaud you for that.
2017 has be a profound year in so many ways, and I have certainly learned so much. 2018 is definitely going to need a little more fore thought! One of the most profound things about 2017 has been some of the wonderful relationships that have developed between the ninja and other entities out in Twitter. By entities, I mean schools, teachers, tweet-chers, classes, educationalists, experts, governers, authors and so many more. All of these individual, subtle and special relationships have been amazing to develop over the last 9 months! Whether it being a regular and entertaining minion GIF, a DM message of words that could be used in WODs, advice from other vocabulary experts, likes and retweets and even help behend the scenes! It's all been helpful and inspiring. So for all of that, I would just like to say thank you!
2017 has been special, but keep going! There will be a huge amount of successes and things you have found inspirational! Take these things forward with you into 2018! The need for children to be exposed to regular high quality first teaching around words and vocabulary will only continue to grow, and so will the need for your expertise!
2018 will see the Ninja continue to provide WODs and much much more, as long as it is still deemed useful to you all! VN hopes to develop much stronger links with schools and other projects out there in the big wide world beyond the dojo!
I prefer reflections to resolutions! Take stock, look back at all that you have achieved or missed a trick with this year! Then look forward, be ready to make the most of the opportunities that surely will present themselves, do your best, be nice to those around you and choose your words carefully!
